Curbside leaf collection will  take place the weeks of:

Leaves must be curbside by 7:00 am on regular trash collection day.

A Reminder:  the 1st SAVE Annual Art Show "Rumney Marsh"  
Starts on Saturday September 22 and runs through September 29
at the M.E.G. Center at 54-58 Essex Street, Saugus, MA

Drop off for submitting artwork is Friday September 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Art will be judged on Saturday September 22
and there will be a reception with light refreshments
from 5:30 to 7:30 pm  Saturday evening.
The Art Show will run every night from 5:30 to 7:30 pm until September 29
If anyone would like to assist, please call Kelly Slater at (781) 231-6864  
This is a great opportunity to shine a light on our undervalued marshland
and we hope to see you there!

Entitled ACEC Rumney Marsh, the exhibit will feature art in any medium
inspired by the beauty and fragility of the Rumney Marsh Area of Critical
Environmental Concern ecosystem.
  All artists 18 years of age or older
who meet the specifications for submission may exhibit one piece of art.

A different animal will be featured each week; an activity, craft, or
short hike to find signs of wildlife will follow a brief presentation.
Appropriate for all ages, but best for kids 4 years and older.
This is a drop-in program; no registration required.

Saugus Iron Works  -  Annual Iron Pour
Saturday   September 22  

Set up begins at 10:30 am    -   Pour is around 12:00 pm
Join us for our annual iron pour at the Saugus Iron Works.
The iron pour is part of Essex Heritage “Trails and Sails” and our ongoing
celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of Saugus Iron Works
as a national historic site within in the National Park Service system.
Furnace set-up begins at 10:30 am and the pour will happen at about noon.
Bring a lawn chair and picnic lunch while you wait for things to heat up. 


Trails, Sails, and TAILS: Bark Ranger Program

from 5:00 to 6:00 pm
Meet behind the Narbonne House, 71 Essex Street, Salem.

World Series Park will host Coaches vs. Cancer
Saturday  September 29   &   Sunday  September 30
games at 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm each day

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
Funds raised from this event will go to the American Cancer Society.

to honor the generous donors who support WSP
The World Series Park “Wall of Fame” will be available
to sign up for through the 2018 baseball season.

Pumpkin Patch Returns – September 29 thru October 31
The First Congregational Church in Saugus Center will again host the Annual
Pumpkin Patch which will run from September 29 through Halloween, October 31. 
Pumpkins of all sizes will be displayed on the church lawn and will be available
for purchase every day from 10:00 am to closing. 
The “Pumpkin Truck” will arrive Saturday, September 29 at 9:00 am with
3,000 pumpkins.  Volunteers are needed to help with the unloading.  Volunteers
are also needed to help staff the various shifts for the selling of pumpkins during
the month of October.  If interested please contact Carolyn Davis (781) 233-4555. 
“The Pumpkin Patch” looks forward to having everyone enjoy this great fall event!
