Saugus.com received an email from Sgt. Palomino in Afghanistan.
He wrote to say thanks to the parishioners at Blessed Sacrament Church
who sent generous care packages to him and his fellow soldiers.
We were happy to forward his email to the church for him.
Please remember our service men and women with a note or a package,

Subject: Saugus.com: Care Packages

Hello,

My name is Sergeant Joseph Palomino.  I am writing to you in hopes that this message
will reach The Blessed Sacrament Church.  I would just like to express my gratitude to
them for the care packages that they have been sending to myself and my fellow soldiers
deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  Your care packages
are a blessing and are a constant reminder that we are thought of and supported while
we are away.  I am truly grateful!  And also a very special thanks to Ashley Linnehan for
her very kind thank you card!  I keep her card nearby and when I'm having a bad day it
brings a smile to my face.  God bless!

Sgt. Palomino, Joseph

Susan,
You are very welcome!  Thank you for forwarding the message for me.
I also consider it an honor to have my message posted as well as my picture.
I have attached a few that you can choose from.
Unfortunately I am not a Saugus native, but from what I've seen on the website
it looks like a great community with amazing people.

God Bless and thanks again,

Joseph I. Palomino
