Thank You from the Annual Pumpkin Patch
at
First Congregational Church in Saugus Center

pumpkin-thankyou.jpg
The First Congregational Church in Saugus Center extends a “big thanks” to all
who supported the 16th Annual Pumpkin Patch this year.  A successful event was
the result of all those who helped unload the trucks, those who volunteered to do
shifts selling pumpkins, and those who purchased pumpkins. This couldn’t have
been done without the support of the Saugus community.  See you next year!

Send a Letter: Burning Trash & Biomass is NOT Renewable Energy
From Ann Devlin, President of SAVE (Saugus Action Volunteers for the Environment)
resco-smoke.jpg
Wood (biomass) and trash incineration have devastating effects. People who live near
these polluting incinerators (like Wheelabrator / RESCO) are at a higher risk for
asthma, heart disease, and cancer just from breathing the air.  . . . Read more

Every day, someone somewhere in Massachusetts needs to find essential
community services:  an after school program, a food bank, housing information,
job search help, legal assistance, or where to secure care for an aging parent.
Many face these challenges, but don't always know where to turn for help.

It's wondrous what a hug can do; a hug can cheer you when you're blue.
A hug can say, "I love you so, or gee, I hate to see you go".
A hug is, "Welcome back again!" and "Great to see you!" or Where've you been?"
The hug!  There's just no doubt about it, we scarcely could survive without it.
A hug delights and warms and charms.  It must be why God gave us arms.
No need to fret about the store of them.  The more you give, the more there are of them.
So stretch those arms without delay and give someone a hug today!
