The Saugus Faith Community Interfaith Seder
Tuesday, March 20    from 6:30 to 7:30 pm
at East Saugus United Methodist Church, 85 Chestnut Street
Join the Saugus Faith Community as we share a Jewish Seder meal.
We will hear the story of the Exodus, sample the symbolic foods of
Passover, and learn all about the traditions of the Jewish Seder meal.
Come experience the stories, songs, and rituals of the Passover Seder.
Learn how this ancient Jewish ritual meal informs the present day
Christian “Last Supper.”
Our guest host is Stephanie Simons of Temple Tiferet Shalom in Peabody. 
There is no charge but seating is limited.

Agape Supper at First Congregational 
Thursday   March 29   at 6:30 pm  
Come join First Congregational Church UCC, 300 Central Street, Saugus,
for our annual Maundy Agape Supper.
  This is the night we recreate the
Last Supper Jesus had with his disciples before he was arrested and tried. 
We serve authentic foods of first century Palestine: lamb stew, fruit, cheese,
and homemade bread.
  We read scripture describing the passion of Jesus
and we share Communion.  We end by singing the spiritual, “Were You There?” 
Free and open to the public but reservations are suggested.

Saugus Faith Community Ecumenical Good Friday Walk
Friday  March 30  from 3:00 to 4:00 pm
Join the Saugus Faith Community for our annual Ecumenical Good Friday Walk
on the grounds of Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer Street.  We will present
the story of “The Seven Last Words of Jesus” as he walked to his death on Calvary. 
Come immerse yourself step-by-step in this ancient story of love and redemption.
Rain location will be inside the sanctuary of Blessed Sacrament.

Easter Sunday Ecumenical Sunrise Worship
Sunday   April 1  at 6:00 am
The Saugus Faith Community invites you to wake up early and come
to worship with us on Easter morning.  We will meet at Vitale Park
on Ballard Street, read scripture, sing songs, pray, and imagine
ourselves at the empty tomb experiencing all the shock and joy
that we would feel if we had actually been there.
Rain location for the service is at First Congregational Church.
After the service, come to First Congregational Church UCC,
300 Central Street, Saugus at 6:30 am for a Sunrise Breakfast

(suggested donation $6.50).  A great way to start your Easter Day!

Easter Sunday Breakfast at First Congregational Church
The First Congregational Church in Saugus Center will hold an
Easter Sunday Breakfast on Sunday, April 1 from 6:30 to 9:00 am   
The menu includes: scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, French toast,
homemade baked beans, assorted pastries, coffee and juice.
The cost for this full breakfast is a $6.00 donation. 
Those attending the Easter Sunrise Service at Vitale Park and anyone else
interested in a time of delicious eating and fellowship are encouraged to attend.
Tickets will be available at the door.


Easter Sunday Service at First Congregational
Sunday  April 1   at 10:00 am
Join us at 1st Congregational Church UCC, 300 Central St., Saugus 
as we celebrate the holiest day of the Christian year –
the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We will lift the black veil on the cross
and replace it with a white veil crowned with a garland of flowers. 
We will pray for peace and sing songs of joy.  Special musical guests
are vocalist Ayo Asude and trombonist Paul Ackerman. 
Children will enjoy an Easter egg hunt in our Community Hall
and everyone will receive a special gift to remember the day.

2018 Scholarships
The Saugus River Watershed Council is now accepting applications
for 2018 environmental scholarships.  During 2018, the Saugus River
Watershed Council will award a $500 Environmental Leadership Scholarship
and a $500 Pamela Harris Memorial Scholarship to high school seniors
graduating during the spring of 2018 and attending college next fall.

Environmental Scholarship to any Saugus resident who is graduating high school
in 2018 and pursuing a degree in any field which would benefit the environment.

A “Wall of Fame” is new addition to World Series Park
to honor the generous donors who support WSP
As a result of requests to donate to World Series Park,
a 4' X 8'  “Wall of Fame”
will be erected on the field side of the building. 
This will be a permanent plaque that will list
the names of people who make a minimum donation of $100. 
Donations may be made in honor of others or in memory of loved ones.  

Donations to WSP for inclusion on the Wall of Fame should be sent to:
