Saugus Veterans Council Memorial Day Parade
Saturday  May  27, 2017

The parade will form on Jackson Street at 9:00 am
and step off at 9:30 am
to Cliftondale Square along Lincoln Avenue
to Central Street  then onto Winter Street to the Riverside Cemetery
for a Special Ceremony at the Veterans Burial Lot.
The parade will re-form and march to Saugus Town Hall for the memorial ceremony. 
There will be a Collation at American Legion Hall at noon.

In Observance of Memorial Day Monday May 29, 2017 joins in honoring the men and women who gave
their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

We also extend sincere appreciation to all U.S. Military Veterans and 
Active Military Personnel for their service to our country.

2017 Scholarship for Environmental Leadership
The Saugus River Watershed Council is now accepting applications for its Annual
Environmental Leadership Scholarship.  One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a
high school senior graduating in the spring of 2017 and attending college next fall.

Calling all Toddlers, Tots, and Preschoolers ages 2 - 6 !
The Park Rangers at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site invite you
to attend free monthly story-time and activity sessions around the park!
Bring your favorite adult and learn about the special places, objects, living things
and stories the National Park Service protects.
Create crafts to take home
each time and receive a special prize for attending all sessions!
Meet at the Saugus Iron Works Visitor Center (244 Central St., Saugus)

The National Park Service is announcing a seasonal change
to its two national historic sites within Essex County.  Saugus Iron Works
and Salem Maritime National Historic Sites will be open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
and will be offering tours and programs 7 days a week, beginning May 1st.
