The Theater Company of Saugus is a community theatre group
serving Saugus, Massachusetts and surrounding communities.
Founded in 1968 as the "Town-Criers", we incorporated in 1990
as a not-for-profit corporation.
Mission statement is "To foster and promote an appreciation
of the theatre arts and to stimulate production of living theatre for
the entertainment and cultural enrichment of the community."
"The Wizard of Oz" will be presented by the award-winning
Theatre Company of Saugus as the first show in their 41st season. This audience-pleasing family stage musical is based on the classic
MGM movie of 1939 starring Judy Garland, based on the story by
L. Frank Baum, with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg.
Performances are scheduled for 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 November 2009
at Saugus High School.
