Saugus Conservation Commission – Pool Closing Guidelines
As an educational reminder, we would like to advise Saugus residents
who have a pool, regarding the process of closing it for the season.

The Conservation Commission uses the following guidelines:
The chemical content of water in swimming pools can be detrimental to
wetland plants and animals.  To remove harmful chemicals, it is the owner’s
responsibility to adjust the PH to a neutral range (6.8 - 7.2) and to leave
pool water standing, uncovered, for a minimum of seven (7) days without
the addition of chlorine.  Drain water slowly, over several days, onto
vegetated surfaces and away from wetlands.

Just a friendly tip from your Saugus Conservation Commission
Any questions, please contact us (781) 231-4129

The Truth About Hugging,
According to Dear Abby         The Free Hugs video
abby.jpg
Hugging is healthy.  It helps the body's immune system, it keeps you healthier,
it cures depression, it reduces stress, it induces sleep, it's invigorating & rejuvenating,
it has no unpleasant side effects, and hugging is nothing less than a miracle drug.
Hugging is all natural.  It is organic, naturally sweet, no pesticides, no preservatives,
no artificial ingredients, and 100% wholesome.  Hugging is practically perfect.  There
are no moveable parts, no batteries to wear out, no periodic check-ups, low energy
consumption, high energy yield, inflation-proof, non-fattening, no monthly payments,
no insurance required, theft-proof, non-taxable, non-polluting, and of course, fully returnable.
