Due to the overwhelming success of the Saugus
Leo’s Yankee Candle e-Fundraiser during the month
of October, Yankee Candle has asked the Saugus
Lions and the Saugus Leos to extend the e-Fundraiser
for an additional two weeks to November 14, 2008.
Simply visit www.SaugusLeos.com and purchase
Yankee Candle products. Shipping is a flat rate of $6.
35% of all orders will be divided between the
Massachusetts Lions Eye Research, the Jimmy Fund
and the Saugus Leos Club.
For more information, contact Marc Chapdelaine at 781-233-1988.
The Fundraiser is believed to be one of the first of its kind--combining
the proven success of a traditional candle fundraiser with the commercial
power of the internet. “The concept of e-Fundraising might not be a
secret after this event,” says an optimistic Saugus Lions Club President,
Marc Chapdelaine. “The Saugus Leos are young and exciting and could
generate unprecedented levels of sales, helping children with cancer,
visually impaired people from Massachusetts and the Saugus
community at large.”

About the Leo Club
“The goal of the Leo Club is to give students a chance to make a difference
in their community, individually and as part of a team,” said Marc
Chapdelaine, President of the Saugus Lions Club. “The Saugus Lions are
excited to provide this opportunity to students looking to become involved
with their town in a unique way.”
“The Saugus Lions have always supported our youth
in various ways. I think starting the Leo Club is critical at this time when so
many of our youth services are being diminished. I hope parents will
encourage their kids to get involved,” said Greg Nickolas, Director of
Saugus Youth and Recreation Services.
