Friends of Breakheart Reservation Meeting Saturday January 23, 2010 at 10:00 am
at the Breakheart Visitors Center
Light refreshments will be available.
The Saugus River Watershed Council will present Ed Murray with a River Stewardship Award
at it's annual meeting on November 17, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the Hilltop Restaurant
on Route 1 in Saugus. Ed was selected as a recipient this year because of his long-time
commitment to protecting natural resources and for his tireless efforts promoting public
access at Breakheart Reservation. I hope you will consider joining us at the annual meeting
to thank Ed for all his hard work. Please let me know if you have any questions. CONGRATULATIONS ED! Click here for Dinner/Meeting information and RSVP form Joan LeBlanc, Executive Director SaugusRiver Watershed Council
One of the community-minded services the FOBR sponsors is providing Mutt Mitts ™ in the dispensers at the reservation gates. Mutt Mitts are photodegradable, biodegradable
pick-up bagsprovided, as a courtesy, for your use. Please dispose of used Mutt Mitts in the
trash barrels located throughout the park. The FOB covers the expense for the bags and hopes to be
able to afford to continue doing so. Please help us by taking
only what you need for your walk, 1 or 2 bags. They are
there for everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Picking up after your dog is a service YOU can do for the community.

I would like to express the sincere thanks of the
Friends Of Breakheart for the generosity of those
who contributed to our Stuff A Backpack program this year.
With your help we were able to fill over one hundred
backpacks and distribute them to schools in our surrounding
communities. Students who started the school year with no
school supplies through no fault of their own, now find
themselves on an even footing with their classmates.
Once again, thank you all.
