One of the community-minded services the FOBR sponsors
is providing
Mutt Mitts ™ in the dispensers at the reservation gates.

Mutt Mitts
are photodegradable, biodegradable pick-up bags
provided, as a courtesy, for your use.
Please dispose of used Mutt Mitts in the trash barrels located throughout the park.

Please help us by taking only what you need for your walk, 1 or 2 bags.
They are there for everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Picking up after your dog is a service YOU can do for the community.
To learn how your actions impact us all, please read:

AND PLEASE REMEMBER:  ALL dogs must be on a leash while in the park.

The ONLY area at Breakheart where your dog can be off-leash is at Bark Place.

ED MURRAY (1942 - 2012)
ed-murray.jpg
Breakheart Reservation and the Friends of Breakheart lost a real friend.

Ed Murray, our long time Chairman, will be missed by many as the most ardent
defender of, and generous contributor to the park. He was never afraid to speak
up about issues or contribute to a cause. He was also the sole sponsor of the
Breakheart Concert Series. Although his failing health prevented him from
participating in many events in the last 20 months of his life, Breakheart issues
remained in his heart, until it failed him on February 17, 2012.

Any contributions in Ed's memory to the "Friends of Breakheart Reservation"
would be greatly appreciated and what he would have wanted as his legacy.

Please mail checks to: " Friends of Breakheart - 172 Forest Street, Saugus, MA 01906

Thank you

In 2005, Saugus residents recycled more than 3.5 million pounds
of material.

By doing this, Saugus saved the equivalent of 345,700 gallons of gasoline,

25,500 trees, and recycled enough plastic bottles to make 6,300 fleece jackets.
