The Saugus River Watershed Council presented Ed Murray with a River Stewardship Award
at it's annual meeting on November 17, 2009. Ed was selected as a recipient because of his
long-time commitment to protecting natural resources and for his tireless efforts promoting
public access at Breakheart Reservation. CONGRATULATIONS ED! Joan LeBlanc, Executive Director SaugusRiver Watershed Council
One of the community-minded services the FOBR sponsors is providing Mutt Mitts ™ in the dispensers at the reservation gates. Mutt Mitts are photodegradable, biodegradable
pick-up bagsprovided, as a courtesy, for your use. Please dispose of used Mutt Mitts in the
trash barrels located throughout the park.
The FOB covers the expense for the bags and hopes to be
able to afford to continue doing so. Please help us by taking
only what you need for your walk, 1 or 2 bags. They are
there for everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Picking up after your dog is a service YOU can do for the community.
