Saugus Pop Warner Travels to New Hampshire
to Play "Friendship Game"
Players and families from Saugus Pop Warner Football Organization
had a fun filled overnight adventure over the past weekend traveling
to Amherst, New Hampshire to take on the Kingsbury Lancers.

The weekend started off with a bang at the residence Marriott Inn in Merrimack, NH
culminating with an huge potluck dinner and lots of fun and activities for the players
and families. The kids were very busy with swimming, basketball, manhunt, and
of course…..Football!

The next morning players and families woke up to a complimentary hot buffet breakfast
with more games and swimming poolside.

As game time drew near, a wave of red, black and white began to emerge from rooms
all over the complex as the players suited up to prepare for the big game in 90 degree
weather. Emotions were high and the excitement showed all over these young men’s
faces as they entered their vehicles to drive to the field.

As the C-Squad Sachems marched single file onto the playing field, there was a look of
pride, determination, and comradeship on every face. They played valiantly despite the
90+ degree heat and the late hour of the game.

As the players walked off the field covered in dust, their helmets scarred with the green
paint of the New Hampshire team, the same question was being asked by players and
families both . . . ”Can we do this again next year????” The weekend was a success
and the spirit of Saugus Pop Warner Football continues on . . . . .
