Saugus Library is offering a Career Development Workshop Series Workshops will cover several topics, including conducting a job search, the job
market for new college graduates, and how to update and e-mail your resume.
Summer Reading Club: "Starship Adventure at Your Library"
At the Saugus Public Library
this summer: Reading = Prizes. Children and teens can read books all summer
and receive prizes at the library.
Grand prizes will be given out at the end of the summer:
Red Sox tickets,Topsfield Fair tickets, and more! Children can sign up now at the library or onlinehttp://www.readsinma.org/saugus The Summer Reading Club, "Starship Adventure @ Your Library", continues. Children who sign up for the Club can receive weekly prizes for reading.
By signing up, they will be entered into a drawing at the end of the summer
for grand prizes: Red Sox tickets and several "Family of Four Eats Free" coupons
at the Qdoba Mexican Grill. Also, if children read at least one book every week of the summer, they will receive
a ticket to the Topsfield Fair along with coupons for free rides and food.
Teens! Adults! Summer Reading is not just for kids. The library is sponsoring summer reading contests for adults and teens.
Any book counts. Stop by the Reference Desk to fill out an entry form
for each book you read this summer and you will be entered in a drawing
to win Red Sox tickets, movie passes and other prizes.
In the Children's Room Each week there is a new theme in the central display area. Week of June 29th thru July 4th - Independence Day What happened on July 4, 1776? How do kids around the
United States celebrate the holiday? Answers to these and
other questions can be found in a display of books about
Independence Day in the Children's Room.
Week of July 6th thru July 10th - New England
Do you know the 6 states that make up New England?
Will you be traveling around New England this summer? Do you know which state is famous for its lobsters?
Do you know the capital cities of the New England states?
Find the answers at the library. There will be a display of
children’s books about New England in the children’s room.

Patrons can browse through a collection of audio books-
including fiction and nonfiction for adults, teens, and children-
check them out with their library cards, and download them for two weeks.
You can listen to the books on your PC or transfer them to an MP3 player.
Some titles can also be burned to a CD.
North of Boston Library Exchange Use the on-line Library Catalogue to find and reserve a book Don’t forget that you can log on to your library account from the convenience of home to check if the library has a book or DVD. You canalso reserve or renew material. All you need is your library card number and PIN number. If you don’t have a PIN number, stop by the library to request one.
The library is a great resource for job seekers. You can use the library’s computers to send out resumes or look for a job. You will also find information here on resume writing and interviewing techniques.
