The annual walk to raise awareness about Domestic Violence will be held

from 10:00am to Noon
at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus. This is a fun walk for everyone. There will be t-shirts and door prizes and refreshments. Area organizations such as HAWC (Help Abused Women & Children) and GLSS (Greater Lynn Senior Services) will be represented, and literature will be available. The cost is $7.00 per individual, or $10.00 per family.
All are welcome to this special event, sponsored by the Saugus Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The world's largest zipper zipped the artificial turf together in the Houston Astrodome.
The turf came in strips 200 feet long & 14 feet wide, bristling with blades 3/8 of an inch high.
Each strip was backed with a thin layer of vinyl foam and weighed about 3,000 pounds.
The strips were cut to size and held together with zippers.
