SPECIAL EVENT at Breakheart Reservation

“SILENT NIGHT” FULL MOON HIKE

For Ages 8 and up

Meet at Christopher P. Dunne Visitor Center, 177 Forest St., Saugus

Mindfully explore your park after dark, using (almost) all your senses.
We will silently walk along a paved path to the beach, where we will share what
we saw, heard and felt. We then continue to Silver Lake to take in the view of
the full moon, before continuing along the inner loop back to the Visitor Center.

A 2.5 mile, easy hike, mostly along paved paths .

THE EVENT FOR JULY 24 IS A "SILENT NIGHT HIKE"

"Silent Night" Hike:
Had to cancel the "FULL MOON" part of this event
and postpone due to the possibility of severe weather.

New Date and Time: Wednesday July 24 from 8:30 to10:00 pm

Meet: Breakheart Reservation, 177 Forest St. Saugus, Christopher P. Dunne Visitor Center

Experience Breakheart in a whole new light—or lack of light!

Reclaim the sanctity of the evening by hiking along Pine Tops Road in reverent silence.

We will stop at the beach to discuss what we have experienced with all our senses,

then take in the view over Silver Lake.

Registration required; email stacy.kilb@mass.gov

Flashlights and head lamps are not permitted, but red lamps are OK
as they do not inhibit your night vision.

This is a ~2.5 mile, easy but medium-paced hike mostly along paved paths.

Best for adults and children 8 and up.
