Event: 'KINDNESS ROCKS at First Congregational Church'

General
Date: Wednesday, August 01, 2018 At 08:00 AM

Kindness Rocks at First Congregational Church UCC

Will you help spread some kindness in the world? It’s easy with Kindness Rocks!
What is a Kindness Rock? It is a beach rock painted with a positive saying like
“Make a Wish,” “You Are Beautiful,” “Peace,” or whatever saying you can think of.
We invite kids to join us for two days of creating Kindness Rocks which we hope
will spread around town and make someone’s day brighter.
Who doesn’t need a kind word now and again?

First Session - Wednesday August 1 from 10-11:30 am for kids in Grades 1-5
A parent, guardian, or caregiver is required to stay with this age student.

Second session - Thursday August 2 from 1-2:30 pm for kids in grades 6-12
Older student volunteers earn community service hours helping the younger ones.

The sessions are free and all art supplies are included.

We hope you will help us spread a little kindness in Saugus - one rock at a time.

RSVP on Facebook, call (781) 233-3028 or email uccsaugus@verizon.net

We are an Open & Affirming congregation
and our building is fully accessible for all abilities.

Come down to this fun, family-friendly event for children of all ages.

astrodometurf.jpgThe world's largest zipper zipped the artificial turf together in the Houston Astrodome.
The turf came in strips 200 feet long & 14 feet wide, bristling with blades 3/8 of an inch high.
Each strip was backed with a thin layer of vinyl foam and weighed about 3,000 pounds.
The strips were cut to size and held together with zippers.
As Milner said, "It was the longest infield fly in the world."
