SAVE is offering a $500.00 Environmental Scholarship to a Saugus Resident who is a Senior graduating in 2008 from any accredited High School who will be attending a two/four-year college or other educational institution and pursuing a degree in an area that would positively impact the environment.

The world's largest zipper zipped the artificial turf together in the Houston Astrodome.
The turf came in strips 200 feet long & 14 feet wide, bristling with blades 3/8 of an inch high.
Each strip was backed with a thin layer of vinyl foam and weighed about 3,000 pounds.
The strips were cut to size and held together with zippers.
